Hi H??

Here's a link, shows the parts that are needed, most wood lathes have
a #2 Morse Taper, in the head and the tail stock, the drill
chuck(Jacobs) chuck goes on the Jacobs end of the adaptor and the
other end of the adaptor with the Morse Taper goes into the lathe.

Do you have a drill press? If so maybe you can do what I do sometimes. I'll
knock the chuck out of my drill press (#2 MT) and just slip it into in my Delta
14" lathe. Reverse the process when done.

Hi,

Your lathe probably takes MT#2 accessories in the tailstock. THis is the
most common for home lathes. The best price I found on a Jacobs chuck with a
MT#2 arbor is at HF

For $10 you can't go wrong. I've been using mine for about 4 years now.
Still works good as new.

Thank you. I had the taper and knew it went in the tail stock. I just did not know how. You gave me a hint someway that the rotating part of the tailstock needed to be removed. I got that taper removed and now I am in business.
