Default An OT request for help re rcw archives

I am digital computer illiterate since the days of basic, Heathkit
analog monsters and Commodore 64's, so laugh and roll your eyes, but
help me. In an abundance of false pride, I want to print out some old
archived musings. Don't ask!

How can I best find and print some of my old OPs without the rest of
their threads? With this group's help, I found a printer and we all know
about the compulsion to play with new toys. Please lead me in
kindergarten steps, here or privately. TIA

Arch:

Here's another way. You can find your posts without filling in one
form. I see you have webtv, so I am thinking that you are accessing
this group through Google Groups and that you are familiar with Google.

If so, go to YOUR latest post, even this topic is fine.

Make sure it is your posting. In the gray with the poster's time,
date, etc. in it, you will see a line entitled "show options". Right
click it.

It will expand the box. In the lower right hand corner of the box, you
will see "Find messages by this author". Right click it.

There 'tis.

You have another sorting option, sort by relevance or sort by date.
When I clicked on "sort by date" it ran your messages back in order to
about 4/12 years ago.

Your message will show up when you click on it, but you will be where
your position was in the thread when you originally posted to the
thread, and you will get the whole thread for referece and archival
possibilities. It is block, copy, print screen, whatever after that
for whatever you are after.

I believe Jack's method may go back farther in time, but I am not sure.
I know it gives you the option to go back to 1981, but I know this
group wasn't in existence then anyway, and I am not sure when you
started posting your musings.

Let us know if you need any more help. I am sure many here are at the
ready to help.

Robert
