Default It's good to be back!

Hello everyone,

Most of you...in fact I would guess none of you remember me, but I used
to come here all the time. I used to be on as ROBERTHP Well after a
long hiatus, I have returned to both woodturning and to
rec.crafts.woodturning. I hope to stay this time!

It sure was nice to log back onto the newsgroup and see quite a few
familiar faces! I see Leif is still supporting LDD and Arch is still
making everyone think. And Mr. Noble, the vacuum pump I bought from you
years ago is still going strong!

Unfortunately, I am unable to log in to the woodturning group at
myfamily.com. I there anyone here who can help?

It's good to see everyone again!

Hi roberthp! Why don't you drop me an email with your first and last
names plus the email address you'd like to use for the myfamily site and
I'll send an invitation to get you back on and running.

Tips fer Turnin': Place a sign, easily seen as you switch on your lathe, warning you to remove any and all rings from your fingers. Called degloving, extended hardware can grab your ring and rip it off your finger. A pic for the strong of stomach: www.itim.nsw.gov.au/go/objectid/2A3AC703-1321-1C29-70B067DC88E16BFC/index.cfm

Besides, rings can easily mar the surface of a turning as you check for finished smoothness.

Ah, but you're wrong. I still have posts of yours, actually, from as
far back as 2001.

Still have your hollowing tools with the bits CA glued in?

Welcome back!

I feared he was lost in space. I really liked the space chronicles.

One can hope. But on the otherhand, this may not be the same guy, just
another parasite, sock puppet, or copy cat.

Fine. How have you been? I've really missed getting together with you
for hot cider and fresh apple fritters. I hope you grew as much under
my mentoring as I did.

God Bless you M.J.

Hahaha...yes Al, so did I. I even saved them. Except when you got a
little shrill, I always thought "Al" was pretty much harmless,
whoever's alter ego he is.
