Default Electric Meter Covers

Does anyone know where you can get the standard electric/gas meter covers
from ? The door is bust on mine.

They are about 42cm by 62cm and are fitted on outside walls.

Any ideas ?

The electricity company that serves your area.

Jewsons or some other builders merchants. The local electric company are not
interested as the box is not their property.

These box covers are/were known by the generic/ish name of "Permali".
There are/were variations regarding hinges, locks, and of course size.

Mind you, sit down before you look at the prices of a straightforward
door :-)

A couple of decades ago I used to purchase replacements of these on
behalf of the GPO/PO, more or less standard with lift-off hinges and
provision for a specialist lock, for a cable TV system.
