My roof timbers have quite a lot of soft white deposits on them, very
similar to the gypsum/salts often seen on brickwork. The house is a semi, probably 1930's the loft area is draughty & dry & the roof tiles were probably replaced 15 years ago, (i've owned it for a couple of years) Are the white deposits likely to be anything serious or is this common? Thanks DD |

Thanks DD If they are simply the dusty white type then dont worry, rub them off with an old sack or something but take a good peek to see if there are any little holes nearby thanks, i intend brushing off all traces so at least i can see if anything returns.
