I had a new consumer unit fitted over the weekend and the fitter has
connected the ring main sockets to 2 separate 32A MCBs. i thought these were supposed to go to the same MCB. Will this need to be changed? Also what amp should the connection to the alarm system be as it was previoulsy 32A in the old fuse box and it is now on a 16A MCB, is this correct? Finally how did he replace the consumer unit. He wouldn't have worked live so how can i isolate the power to the consumer unit to correct the socket wires and if i needed to install any further MCBs in the future. |
