![]() Wondered why the postman didn't deliver my order, so went into my Amazon account only to see a note apologising for the order not being deliverable and refund in progress. That's a new one on me, unless the van has been hijacked complete with the coffee strainer I ordered. |

Would Royal Mail return a package to sender rather than delivering it if it was obviously damaged? |

A couple of weeks ago an Amazon order, for a single item, didn't turn up and the website said that it would be delivered in the next couple of days. It didn't, so I initiated a refund, which triggered an apology and an explanation that it had been lost in transit, and then ordered a replacement. The replacement arrived, then a couple of days later the original did, too. |

They corrupted the delivery address so badly that I pointed this out to them. They sent a replacement. Both turned up. I told JL who said my cousin should retain both. I think she thought Christmas had come early! |

I had a monthly subscribe and save order for Vitamin D tablets for 3 years, until last October when all of a sudden it was delayed and then cancelled ... rinse and repeat until last week. What irritated me was that the tablets were still available, but *Amazon* (not the wholesaler) had hiked the price to exclude S&S customers. Not much I can do, but it's noted. Oh, and they lied about it - not knowing I had been in contact with the supplier. Well, you could do something. Simply claim the difference between the best price now and the S&S price? Though I guess it's not worth the trouble. |

Both times seemed to be a screw-up with the delivery process which involved sending the order to distant parts of the UK John M |

Yes, my mother had Qty 6 Swiss to UK power adaptors delivered Really weird, she doesn't have, nor ever did have an Amazon account, yet they were addressed to her ! I do sometimes get stuff delivered to her, from my account. However, there was no sign of the items in my order history ! There was no way to enquire, because she doesn't have an account ! I eventually flogged them on ebay !! |

I think she thought Christmas had come early! Similarly with Currys. Ordered a new oven to be delivered to a different address. I know I filled it in correctly because I used post Code and address look up. The delivery address which appeared on the confirmation was 1st line of billing address Postal Town from delivery address Post Code of billing address. SO a non existing address. Contacted them immediately but they refused to correct it even though the address was invalid. Insisted I had to cancel and reorder, but it would take 10 working days for my credit card to be refunded from the 1st order whilst the 2nd order would be added. They couldn't quite get it that the same thing might happen again and again. So I cancelled it and ordered from AO.com on price match. -- bert |
