My very old reader has ample kill file rules for posters but I
have yet to find a way of limiting cross posts.

Does it let you do Unix regex matching? Or counting of ","?

Probably. A bit beyond my knowledge. Turnpike has a help file on the
topic but I don't recall anything on cross posts.

There isn't a pre-pack rule; you need a custom rule to reject on a
comma in the "Newsgroups" header.

Here's one I made earlier

/^Newsgroups:.*,/h

{Right click, Properties, Kill rules, New, Rejects}

Umm. Doesn't seem to work. In my version Turnpike 6.07-M, left click on
Properties, Rules, New, Reject

If you change your mind later, don't delete the rule, but simply flip
it to "Accept", that way it's lurking in case you need it.

I'll ask in the Demon support turnpike group.

You right-click on the newsgoup name, which brings up a menu including
"Properties",

Select "Properties",

Select Kill Rules,

Select New

Select New

Select Reject

{Then type or copy the rule}

If you change your mind later, don't delete the rule, but simply flip
it to "Accept", that way it's lurking in case you need it.

Ah! Missed the bit above. Thanks.

I'm assuming you just want to mask cross-posts to one particular group,
not all crossposts across your entire set of subscribed newsgroups.

Huh! Nobody posts to my other groups! Pity to lose some of the American
contributions but their main interest seems to be cars.
