I've seen plenty of people changing gutters etc using ladders on our two
storey houses. The only dicey bit looks like taking down the old cast Iron stuff. They have a kind of strop system to lower them down. I worked on a job in Mexico a few years ago, and was impressed to see that they had an extension ladder wired to the side bars of a scissor lift, to get access to the highest part of the outside wall. -- Davey. |

Thought these were outlawed?Â* neighbours have got a firm in changing soffits/fascias and they're using them, instead of scaffold towers The house opposite had soffits, gutters and fascias to the highest point of the house replaced the week before last. 2/3 workmen working from 3 ladders - no other equipment. At times it didn't look like safe working. They only worked on the front of the house and took the best part of 3 days to complete. When my mother's house had new soffits, facias gutters and downpipes fitted it took one (long) day to do the front, back and side of house by two men working from ladders and ladder cripples. This was around 3 years ago. -- mailto : news {at} admac {dot} myzen {dot} co {dot} uk |

Yeah, I had to google it. lansford seem to stop selling them https://www.ladders-999.co.uk/scaffold-towers/lsd-ladder-staging-scaffold.html The same principles will apply. There needs to have been a risk assessment and they need to be used safely. Not sure what the story is here. I have noticed that the roofs usually do have temporary rails around them now and new houses have temporary 8' high mesh panels at ground level around the block of land while building but noticed one that didnt last saturday with the boundary. |

Speed, the auto-contradicting senile sociopath, blabbered, again: Never heard them called that. Yeah, I had to google it. You did, didn't you, you useless senile idiot? Why didn't you ask the ONLY person in your life that keeps talking to you, your beloved Alexa? LOL -- Marland revealing the senile sociopath's pathology: "You have mentioned Alexa in a couple of threads recently, it is not a real woman you know even if it is the only thing with a Female name that stays around around while you talk it to it. Poor sad git who has to resort to Usenet and electronic devices for any interaction as all real people run a mile to get away from from you boring them to death." MID: |
