Well this is getting ridiculous, apparently people actually pay someone to
clean their oven for them. I just got a leaflet through the door
advertising an "oven cleaning specialist". How lazy do you have to be to
not do this yourself?

I don't see a problem there.

You'd prefer to spend 10 minutes of your time arranging for a cleaner to come round, letting him in, making sure he doesn't nick the Ming vase etc? Just clean the oven, it's easier and quicker.

If I had the money to have a ming vase I'd get a cleaner in to do all the cleaning. I can understand how perhaps a footballer might earn more money in 10 mins than I do in a year and it may well be worth his while getting someone in to do it, his misses won't have enough spare time to leave the sun bed either.

I can understand cleaning an oven, what I don't understand is those that let someone else park their car.
Of course these so called oven cleaning services are really for the whole cooker not just the oven.
In a simialar way to window cleaning companies how long does it take to clean a window or even a car but we seem to need large numbers of people to be employed to clean cars.

To clean all the windows here needs a ladder. I'm happy to pay someone to
do that. I don't need a ladder to clean a car.

This unwashed Scottish sow repeatedly asserted that he never wears ANY
underpants! It all (drips of urine, sweat, skin fat, etc.) goes into his
pants. He was reported to be a "smelly" guy! YUCK

I pay for my grass and hedges cutting (as needed), my windows cleaning
(once a month at £3.50), my wheelie bin washed (once a month at £2), and
for the van washing (as required about £6).

I could do the lot myself, however the time taken to get the ladders off
the van and fill up buckets with water means that it is worth paying for
the service, £2 once a month to wash out a wheelie bin - it's not worth
getting out the jet washer and hosepipe for that.

I sometimes do wash the van myself. But when it's cold and dark and you
have been at work all day it's nice to know that an illegal immigrant
will stand there freezing his balls off to wash the van for next to nothing.

Fair enough. But would you employ a seperate person to clean each of the 50 items in your home?

Yes depending in the items, in the same way I'd get a differnt person to clean a car than I would a boat. Here when we the cleaners were first asked to clean not just the floor and tables but keyboards and monitors too, we had dirty floor water speard over the monitors and the keyboards. They didn't use screen wipes or even a clean cloths. The following week we asked them NOT to clean the computer equipment.
In our physics department they have a dedecated clean room, I doubt the same cleaners that keep the carpark clean are employed to keep the clean room clean.

Same here, unless I'm in a bloody hurry. I enjoy driving.

Do you enjoy parking too. Makes me wonder why some of the first self drive cars have auto park features to.

No point in cleaning a car, it gets rinsed by rain.

So why do we have so many car cleaning companies.

SO why are there so many car cleaners coming from the EU.

Mr Spiresau said he already has work lined up washing cars in London but hopes to go on to work in the construction industry and chose to come to the UK over other European countries as he can speak the language.

If a clean room needs cleaning there's something wrong.

Even NASA has that problem.

I wonder how our cleaners would make manage it, as it can take then a week to empty a bin.
