No it's not there's a bit at the back of tubes neck that if
you break it, it lets the air back in. The biggest problem is
getting the phosphor off the tube so you can see through it.


A much bigger problem is getting the shadow mask out.


Aren't they only in colour CRTs that was the advantage of a macplus it didn't have a shadow mask.


Tho I spose you might be able to dissolve it in acid.


Presently, I'll aviod going into a shop asking for acid and explaining that it's to disolve a shadow mask. :-)

Yep, but thats what the TV the phucker posted is.

that was the advantage of a macplus it didn't have a shadow mask.


It didnt use the original. only the plastic case.
