Default Plant Hire Insurance

I have hired many different machines in past ... tracked diggers,
dumpers etc.

Now this time need a machine for a week and the usual company now
stating I need to provide insurance - and offer no option to have it as
a hire 'option'
Tried 2 other companies, both state insurance is my issue.

I did a Google and found JCB insurance offer a 1 week rate based on hire
cost (£300) .. but they want £75

Anybody found a cheaper way.

Dis try my house contents to see if that would cover it - nope.

You can hire a man and digger for around £180 per day, he'll probably lower
that if you need him for the week. He has his own insurance, digs for 7hours
a day and can peel a boiled egg with the bucket.

Last time we tried to hire just the digger from Jewsons, it cost more than
this and also required insurance, delivery and pickup charges, cleaning
charges etc etc etc and even then, one of us would have had to drive it.
Total waste of money.

Look in yellow pages or T local for landscaping, digger hire etc
