Default Expansion strip 2

Phil recenty posted about an expansion strip on a new build.

Today I say this one a new build.

Nice white "silicone" hidden by the fall pipe - why not use a brown silicone

And it looks like the person that actually fitted it used his knob for
the final finish

What was the width of wall either side of the gap?

No idea. But I know that I am back there on Monday and I can do some
measurements.

It's a five property town house building, all are five properties are
identical (2 bedrooms and IMHO not much more than a double storey
garage). I believe the expansion strip was between plots 2 and 3.

I didn't mean that precise, just is it a house cut in two, or half a
dozen terraced houses either side ...

The brick development association quote PD6697 as stating the maximum
distance between expansion joints is 12m, so presumably less than 5m
wide per property?
