Default The People who really appoint Potential Tory Cabinet Ministers And it isn't the voters

From Sarah Vine's email to her husband Michael Gove
which she mistakenly posted to a member of the public

quote

"Crucially, the membership will not have the necessary reassurance

]to back Boris, neither will Dacre/Murdoch, who instinctively dislike

Boris but trust your ability enough to support a Boris Gove ticket.

"Do not concede any ground. Be your stubborn best.

"GOOD LUCK."

Poor old Boris, it looks like Paul Dacre and Rupert Murdoch

don't like him so without a leg -up from Gove he's stuffed.

Of course the fact that neither the unelected Murdoch nor the unelected

Dacre have the capacity to make or break the careers of European Commission

members, unlike members of UK Cabinets, has absolutely nothing to do with

their singular lack of enthusiasm for the EU. And advising their readers

accordingly.

Democracy at its best !

Just keep lapping it all up while your country sinks beneath the waves.

Don't have capacity?? They have enough friends to change a lot of
things. Such people do not need office.

So very very true.

The influence of the gutter press on the great unwashed - who only really
buy it for the celebrity gossip and sports pages - can't be dismissed.
Subliminal advertising in the form of headlines.

Murdoch doesn't actually need to be able to sway elections

Its sufficient that enough politicians believe he can; or at
least are unwilling to stake their careers on the fact that he
can't.

The false front page ad on Metro, the Free London Underground
paper was for Out. And so showed up well when the paper was
left lying about. The ad for Remain was buried deep inside.
Although this clearly didn't affect the result in London
it was clever marketing and planning nevertheless IMO.
