anyone installed an electrical drive gate opener system? Kit form

Probably got it back on not having to install a long wire! |

They are quite different technologies/installations. |

Probably got it back on not having to install a long wire! Almost certainly easier to use a PoE injector and 12V PSU to charge a battery using 100+m of cat5. Then you can use a mains inverter to power a bog standard gate opener. |

I recall that the rules now say (within the last few years) that you are effectively a manufacturer if you build an electric gate (for money I guess) and that you have to 'CE' mark it.
