Shower Mixer Type
since 1988 I have had a Mira 415 Pressure Balancing Shower valve with
complete satisfaction. When I update the bathroom should I stick to this type (limited range) or can I have some other type of valve. Temp control has never been an issue. It has worked perfectly with two boilers over its life. |

Pressure balanced showers are designed for operation with combis typically, where a normal thermostatic action can have unexpected effects... -- Cheers, John. /================================================== ===============\ | Internode Ltd - http://www.internode.co.uk | |-----------------------------------------------------------------| | John Rumm - john(at)internode(dot)co(dot)uk | \================================================= ================/ |

Pressure balanced showers are designed for operation with combis typically, where a normal thermostatic action can have unexpected effects... Sorry - A WB Combi. I fitted a thermostatic shower in the old house, on a system with a combi. It worked very well for the remaining 5 years that we lived there. Only thing I had to do was fit Pressure Reducing Valve as we had higher water pressure and it made the shower valve produce whistling noise. It was Mira Excel IIRC -- -- Chris French ----Android NewsGroup Reader---- http://usenet.sinaapp.com/ |
