Removing chuck from a Bosch PSR 9.6 VES-2
A bit long in the tooth but its been great. It's now almost impossible to
open/close the jaws, VERY stiff. Thought i'd remove chuck and have a look or replace. Presumably the retaining screw is RH thread? Extremely tight, any experience? TIA. |

The chuck refused to detach so PlusGas then 3in1 and it works better than new |

Presumably the retaining screw is RH thread? Extremely tight, any experience? TIA. Hi Bm, Did you ever manage to sort this out? I have the same problem. I love this Swiss made drill but the motor is on its way out. I have managed to remove the screw - Left hand thread - but the chuck will still not move.. I've tried everything I know including a wack with a hammer held in the chuck and also with an impact wrench with a bolt held in the chuck of the PSR (this has never failed before). I notice there seems to be a T40 socket beneath the screw. Does the secret to the chuck removal lie here? Anyone managed to remove a chuck from this driver? Any help would be appreciated. Martin |

I'm afraid I never managed to remove the chuck, however, dunking it in plus-gas for a while made it operate like new. |
