Default Removing chuck from a Bosch PSR 9.6 VES-2

A bit long in the tooth but its been great. It's now almost impossible to
open/close the jaws, VERY stiff. Thought i'd remove chuck and have a look or
replace. Presumably the retaining screw is RH thread? Extremely tight, any
experience?
TIA.

The chuck refused to detach so PlusGas then 3in1 and it works better than
new

Hi Bm, Did you ever manage to sort this out? I have the same problem. I love this Swiss made drill but the motor is on its way out. I have managed to remove the screw - Left hand thread - but the chuck will still not move.. I've tried everything I know including a wack with a hammer held in the chuck and also with an impact wrench with a bolt held in the chuck of the PSR (this has never failed before).

I notice there seems to be a T40 socket beneath the screw. Does the secret to the chuck removal lie here?

Anyone managed to remove a chuck from this driver? Any help would be appreciated.

Martin

I'm afraid I never managed to remove the chuck, however, dunking it in
plus-gas for a while made it operate like new.
