You simply can't beat that shuttering plywood grain effect,
complete with knots, when it comes to a really classy,
table-lamp shade.

Such plywood grain effect, complete with knots, is in part what led to
the rubbish architecture of the 60s. I note another letter in the Times
recently saying that such architecture should be preserved. Bulldoze
the lot, is what I say.

There were certainly some marvellous buildings demolished and replaced with
total ****e.

Good woodturning skills ... but not very good design ... drying out plus
heat of lamp will cause that to distort badly.
