Nope. All the light tells you is that the ECU has logged a fault. It
might be the lambda. It might not be.


The engine management light specifically refer to emissions out of spec
- according to each handbook on my 3 vehicles.


They just put that in to scare numpties into actually doing something.

Have a google for a complete list of fault codes for each of them. I'll
bet there's an absolute ****load of light-lit codes that aren't emissions
related.

Tell us what the cars are, then, and I'll find you a list of non-
emissions related fault codes that'll put this "emissions out of spec"
light on.
