Banco replacement heating valves - any good ?
Hi all, long time no post here.
I'm slightly surprised not to be able to find discussion - here or elsewhere - of Banco motorised valves as Honeywell replacements. Since they're about quarter of the price I assumed they'd be either hailed as the bee's knees or would throw up warnings from people who'd tried them. So, anyone any experience of them ? Has my Google-fu let me down ? I only need the synchronous motor in fact and Banco do sell these for direct replacement, available for a mere 16 squid. Don't need it to last another 20 years as the system will be well up for replacement before then, this is really just a stop gap. But equally I don't want to install a crock that will fail before I get the place fixed up and sold :-) Thanks for any comments or alternatives, Nick |
