Default 'Rotting' Jollyflex Pan Connector

Mate has recently replaced bog, and to accomodate (horrid) basin, has
had to use a flexi pan connector. The Jollyflex pan connector appears to
be rotting between the corrugations. No chemical cleaners have been in
use. It is not under any undue stress, and we are at a loss to come up
with a cause. Now on the third one in six weeks. Any ideas guys?

Try a decent one, like MacAlpine.
