Since fitting a new WC and a new washbasin with a lift and turn tap -
both items now with isolating valves and flexible braided connectors , I am amazed by the high noise level when water is running. The noise seems to come from all of the pipework rather than from a specific place. Does anyone have any ideas of ways to reduce the noise (without reverting to what I had before). |

Have you also fitted in-pipe stop taps (or whatever they are called)? If the water pressure and speed of flow is high (like when you're using the direct mains), these taps can be very noisy unless they are turned full on. And even then, the noise is sometimes greater than when they are not fitted. -- Ian |
