I have one of those very common 650 watt two stroke chinese generators,
a few years old but looks just like the current cheapies. Someone has
clouted the plug cap and broken the insulator. It's a long-reach "full
sized" plug. Can anyone suggest a suitable replacement? Is it likely to
be fussy?

Might want to check it wasn't too-long-a-reach and was clobbered
by the piston, unless you happen to know it was working OK with
that plug in the past...

from spares available for others, then see which one looks like the

a garden machinery place rather than a car place.

Is it likely to be fussy?

Plugs have a multitude or ratings, temperature bands etc etc. The
thing would probably run with almost anything of the correct physical
size but how long it would last is another matter.

BR5ES NGK SPARK
essential-classic-car-parts on ebay are a good suplyer and it cost
£1.35 this time last year.

If you carry that on then a plug should cost over £5 each now.
