I prefer Europe to the alternatives. The UK's bureaucrats are also unelected BTW. If you're making a case for strengthening the European Parliament then yes, I agree. If you believe that the UK's bureaucrats are incorruptible or that our politicians are any better then I suggest that you are mistaken. It's well past the sell-by date for the pound, and the UK, by itself, hasn't got much future. The Empire went a long time ago, the Commonwealth has always been a joke, that leaves alliance with Europe or the USA. I don't want to be a septic. why ally with anyone? I believe the opposite: the days of large political structures are almost past. What we need is shires, boroughs and principalities. by all means sign up to larger structures, but as free trade associations or alliances. Not centralised governments. |
