radiator build quality
Are radiators from well known manufacturers (e.g. stelrad) much better
quality than cheapies from screwfix / toolstation etc ? I have to get one for a kitchen which may have slight levels of humidity at times (despite cooker hood). Can you get a galvanised radiator for use in areas of high humidity such as bathrooms ? - they all seem to rust. You can see why they rust. The grill type arrangement (not present on the old no-fin types) is cut steel with sharp edges and any paint finish on sharp edges is going to be thin and vunerable. The standard design would have to be radically changed to avoid the sharp edges. Simon. |
