Default I may have asked this before...

The interior doors in this house are flat; no raised panelwork, real or
fake. I'd love to replace some of them which are rather battered, but I
can only find poncy ones with fake fielded panels or suchlike.

I could make my own, but you'd only get one side from a sheet of
hardboard, so it'd be very wasteful.

So - anyone know where I can get flat plain white doors?

B&Q appear to do flat white MDF-faced doors such as:

There was a time when you could get 10' x 6' (or similar) sheets of
hardboard which could reduce your wastage - have you looked for that size?

Or you could go to a builders merchants and get the simple internal flush
doors that you require.

I've tried that, but they all claim that you can't get plain flat doors
any more.

Thanks for that. They even do a 23" version, which I'd also need.

Which is considerably more expensive than the 26" one!

I'd have said John Carr, but they are now part of Jeld Wen (I'm not
making that up). Look for 'Hardboard Unlipped Flush Doors'.

Other magic worms are 'internal paint grade flush doors'.

There are shedloads of places wiv them. They'd just rather sell you a
moulded one for 75zu than a flat one for 31

Yes you can, in both hardboard or plywood finish - just a couple of
suppliers below:

http://www.doordepot.co.uk/store/int...lush-door.aspx

http://tradepoint.sgbd.co.uk/etrade/...wManyRecords=2

http://www.wickes.co.uk/bin/venda?ex...ch=flush+doors

And any half-way decent builders merchants will have them in stock - Jewson,
Travis Perkins, Builder Center, Wickes and many independant local ones.

Be aware that some of the 'sheds' only sell what they consider to be the
most profitable products and will fob you off with bulls**t and downright
lies (depending on who you are asking at the time).

Puzzled - if they are 23" (elsethread) you should be able to get two
sides from an 8'x4' sheet, what am I missing ?

Sounds like you need to find a decent BM ;-)

I was looking for moderate quality flush doors last year and my local
decent BM offered ply faced internal ones for 20quid a pop, I had
planned to just paint then but they were such a good finish that I
varnished them instead. It was part of a big order so the price may
reflect that.

I think he really means 27" vs 30".

Ah well in that case 2x3s for the frame sides with a nice[e]
rebate to sit a 23.5" panel in and paint the 2x3s a nice distinctive
colour.
