Default Anyone Got A Flymo Vision 330

Picked up one of these mowers lying in the street recently with the
thought of Freecycling it if it worked ....connected it up and all I
got was a whine from the motor so suspected the drive belt had gone so
did some Googling and found how to get at it ....what a palaver
....removed the blade and disc/spacers and then 4 hidden screws but
have stalled at three washer /rivet type fastenings which are holding
down the part that covers the belt pulleys ...Google says to drill
them out but my drills are ,making hard work of it .....what a stupid
arrangement just to replace a belt ..even the manual doesn't say how a
user should change the belt so I guess they don't want you to do it .

Two questions ...
Can anyone recomend a make of drill bits for drilling out metal
and
Does anyone have one of these mowers and have you done this belt
change and if so how ..

Is the drill making the rivets spin around?

No and I'm only calling them rivets cos I can't see what they really
are ..From memory someone on a forum described them as Rivetted
Washers ...they do look like ( or did look like before I attacked
them) pop rivets but they are not nearly as soft as them and didn't
have the centre pin part that rivets do so I don't know what they are
..Before I started drilling them looked a bit mushroom headed

According to Husqvarna who I presume now own Flymo they are Torx Bolts
.....well I know what Torx Bolt heads look like and these looked
nothing like them ( unless they were well and truly stuffed by
corrosion) so sounds like that might have been what they used at some
other time in the production of this mower. Anyway my drilling has
well and truly fekked them regardless of what they were so it's a case
of Drill On MacDuff!!!
