Buggered my 22mm flat bit the other day, drilling holes for deck lights &
hit a coach bolt. Trust me, flat bits won't drill through coach bolts :-)

Claimed to be twice as fast as a normal flat bit, thought I'd give one a
try. Very impressive! At least twice the drilling speed, probably more, it
actually took me by surprise the first time I used it. Really nice clean
hole as well.

Only drawback is that when drilling a blind hole you have to reverse it out
like an auger.

Claimed to last three times longer than a standard bit - if it does I'll be
happy with the extra cost.
