Default roof terrace/balcony

I'm interested in a Velux Cabrio or roof terrace for my attic, but
unfortunately they say the minimum pitch they'll work at is 35
degrees. I'm right on the limit, possibly slightly less, and the main
issue is that to get sufficient head room with the window open, the
bottom edge is too high. For a walk out terrace you would have to
climb a couple of steps from my attic floor, or if I had the Cabrio,
I'd have a Juliet type balcony which is about 1.5 metres high with 500
mm of wall at my feet.

I wonder if anybody has overcome this with some other manufacturer. Is
there a taller unit which would work at a shallower pitch?
