Default Carpet adhesive on concrete

I have a kitchen with a disgusting carpet and
underneath the carpet are big swirls of
adhesive.

Please, is there an easy way to clean this off
without filling the house with fumes?

I might have the answer. Heat it and pull
or rub it off. From a site called blurtit.
