hot water system
Hi,
We are moving our hot water system around (which includes a 1yr old remeha boiler, storage tank, and central heating) as part of a kitchen refit, and have had several plumbers in to look at it. They seem to be split 50/50 between "replacing it with a new combi boiler, so saving on pipework and tank space" and "setting the same system up in the new locations". I don't seem to be able to get a clear idea of the pros and cons of each, and am hoping that someone here can help. As I see it, the main difference is that, although the combi boiler is smaller/less space, it will only feed one hot water outlet at a time (so using two showers at once would be a problem). Is it possible to get a combi that can deal with two hot water outlets at a time? From my limited research, the only ones I can find are the size of a washing machine! The house is a 4 floor, narrow victorian townhouse - 8 rooms, 6 radiators and 2 towel rails. Thanks, Miles |
