Hi,
I'd appreciate any help anyone could give with a combi boiler problem. The boiler is a Ravenheat CSI 85A. Essentially, the boiler is not working (duh!)... and the symptoms are these (I apologise in advance for any errors. I'm passing this along for a friend): When turning on a hot water tap, it was pot luck whether you would get any hot water. A visual inspection of the boiler while the hot water was running showed it lighting.. but then going off almost immediately. Occasionally it would light and stay lit until the hot water was switched off. Since then the problem has gotten worse. When the central heating is suppose to be on, the boiler fan will come on.. but the pilot light will not light, but the pump is running. The fan will then go off for a few minutes and then come back on, and go back off again... repeat. The ignition board has been changed, but it did not make any difference. Does anyone have any advice about what may be wrong, and what needs doing? Thanks in advance. |
