Roof Insulation Problem
I've got a roof conversion which musthave been done before building
regs as there is no insulation between the inner skin and the roofing. The inner wall runs along the angled roof pitch and then flattens out, so there's a section angled and then a flat area under the apex. The problem is there's not sufficient access to put in conventional glass wool insulation. One option would be to shove the foil backed panel type of insulation up between the rafters, but I suspect they'll get stuck half way up when it meets the cross member. Does anyone have any ideas? Are there alternative insulation materils that can be blown in through a hole or such, like cavity wall insulation? Would this cause problems? With the price of gas, I'm keen not to let the heat out through the roof! grateful for all your ideas, cheers |
