Some hotels on the coast have sea water pools - how do they get the water
to
fill them? - is it delivered by tanker - or do they run a pipe out to the
sea and use a pump - or is there a permanent pipe to the sea?

There used to be a tidal one in Morecambe

complete with broken bottles and gangrene ...

Typical of councils to let things get beyond economical repair - lack of
basic maintenance.

I was thinking of Mediterranean / Canaries type hotels - not ones filled by
the tide.

Ah - you made the mistake of expecting a relevant answer
