With luck, some robotic process will harvest those email addresses and
send spam to them as spam the news group - repeatedly.

I certainly get email on my usenet email address (which does actually
work). I just dump it.

Notice that many of the email addresses posted are not those used in the
original spam. People have used guesses, info on web sites, etc. to get
*real* email addresses that might actually annoy the spamming gits.
