re felting a porch roof
i've had a quote for re felting my porch, which is only about 1 metre
square for 200 quid. does anyone know if thats reasonable ? it would be sealed property with a welding technique, unlike the nails in there now! |

There aren't many experts that will come and do a job for much less. DIY and save £150. Find a neighbour who is having a roof done and get them to tag your bit on and it will be cheaper. |

re felting a porch roof
Depends what you want done. If you want just another layer of felt put on
top (a short term bodge) this is outrageously expensive, if however you want a proper job of removing all previous felt aswell as refitting several layers of new + granite chippings then this is very reasonable. re felting a porch roof
thanks for your advice - how easy is to DIY ??
i'm not worried about it being a perfect job so long as it stops the leak.... the inside of the porch gets damp (not excessively). have removed the plasterboard under the roof but its not obvious where the problem lies.... |
