Default Spanish electrics.

Just had a pleasant holiday at a pal's place on the Costa Blanca. House
three years old. Got roped into fixing a few things - like one of those
light and fan combinations that was an original fitting. Labels everywhere
'this must be earthed' - except no earth on the lighting circuit. Didn't
seem to be an RCD in the CU either - or at least not one with a test
button.

Had to replace the bell push which was fitted to the garden wall. It was
the same design as the light switches used elsewhere. Sort of grid switch
arrangement, but using the cheapest thinnest plastic including the backing
box which had broken its fixing threads for the fitting. Not impressed.

Prices in the DIY stores seemed more than the UK for electrics and tools.

Went to an incredible tile place where I'd have taken days to choose such
was the range and quality. Even had loads of different roof tiles. ;-)
