Default Does a Makita LS1013...

Does a Makita LS1013 have a trench cutting[1] capability? Or is that
only the bigger version?

I.e. ability to limit the depth of plunge so that you can make partial
cuts through the work - handy for doing lap joints, tenons etc?

Well there seems to be a stop mechanism on the side that may well be the
device for limiting the depth of cut.

Yes it does. I have one.

There is a depth stop on the left side which can be adjusted and
controls how far down the blade is allowed to cut. It is swung out of
the way for normal cutting so you can switch between partial and full
cuts.

Ta for that, I thought it probably did, but was not sure because the
Makita site only lists it as a feature of the LS1214 but not the 1013.
