Enclosure for DP isolation switch

Hi Does anybody know of a source of lidded small enclosures? More DIN-rail enclosures than you can shake a stick at over at rswww.com; for example, partnum 508-100, or 367-0129, or 223-360. Usual RS pricing - these weigh in at not much change from 20 quid. You might do a lot better at a local electrical trade counter - you might find a Special Offer on a small "garage" consumer unit where you get an incomer switch and a couple of MCBs thrown in for less than the RS price of just the enclosure plus postage ;-) Should I even bother with the isolation switch since it sounds like I won't legally be able to do any such work myself after next April? Course you should. It *will* make your planned work safer in truth; and the planned "you should get it inspected" stuff is something you can still choose whether or not to comply with (at least working on your own home) - "so sue me" ;-) HTH, Stefek |
