Default Rogh cast glass

I need to find a 1 meter x 0.5 meter piece of rough cast glass 6.5mm thick to replace one of the panels of an old front door.

I have tried a few local glass suppliers without lack. They say this glass is not made anymore.

Any idea where I can find it?

Thanks,

Antonio

I got some bullion glss - te stuff that looks like a magnifying glass
and causes fires - in my doors, made by Acorn Doors..so weird stuff is
available. You just have to hunt for it.

It's geetting really hard to find a glass merchant that knows or cares
anything about sheet glass!

If you're in Bristol, go to the Creative Glass Guild in Bedminster
http://www.creativeglassguild.co.uk

If you're in Bedfordshire, try Tempsford glass
http://www.tempsfordstainedglass.co.uk/

Either of these have more patterns and colours of glass than you would
believe possible.

You could even have a stained glass panel made for you
http://lunartique.com

If you're elsewhere, then you might try a decent glass merchant for
basic obscured glasses, which are cheap and commonplace. You often need
to replace all the panes to match them though, and many modern patterns
are a bit nasty looking.

I'm not familiar with it, but these folks have a mind boggling range of
glasses:
http://www.tatra-glass.co.uk/

and if its something historic, try asking these guys:

Ebay have nothing?

Olde Worlde glass complete with imperfections is still available, I saw a
woman on "Grand Designs" doing out a house completely with it. I imagine
you'll have to send off for it and it won't be cheap.

Andy.
