Default Paint over Sikkens

Management has 'requested' that the hardwood front door be painted white.

As it's had a few coats of Sikkens over the years I'm concerned that
paint might not 'take'.

Anyone got any views?

Sikkens opaque stains?

'Sikkens Cetol THB Medium build exterior semi gloss stain' in mahogany.


It was suggestion, Sikkens Cetol BL Opaque (specifically suited to
overpainting woodstain):
