Default Hand mitre saws-professional ?

I'm toying with the idea of buying a large hand mitre saw primarily for
cutting skirting when i need to get really accurate cuts on site
(private homes) without the hassel of carrying a heavy bulky electric
sliding mitre saw thats noisy, creates loads of dust, and only cuts
angles to 47 degrees. It would have to deal with up to 12" skirting and
cope with compound mitres. Is this just a pipe dream?

Sfunny bin doing it today. Yes pipe dream. Professionals do it by hand
esp if any complexity involved but not with a mitre saw. Mitre blocks
perhaps made on site to match but often not essential, 2 sliding
bevels, combination square, compasses. protractors. coping saw, panel
saw, tenon saw, block plane, a gouge or 2, sharp chisels, hand axe for
scribing, 2h pencils, 2b pencil for scribing, etc and so on. Most
useful trick is undercutting.

cheers
Jacob
