Default Carpet cxleaning

I was talking to the carpet fitter at school today and the topic of
conversation got round to spot cleaners. He suggested using shaving
foam, as it is the best thing to remove the stain.

Any one else come across this?

No! But there is a certain logic to it. Its a detergent and the foam means
you wouldn't over wet the carpet.

Better off with a specific product methinks!

It doesn't work on shoe polish. (Just tried it.)

Does anything :-(

It falls into the same category as blue tac in my books.

Since it came from a carpet fitter, I'm going to give it a go. I have a
part time job at the local primary school and one of my duties is to
keep the ever growing carpets in good condition.

In which case you will probably need a COSHH data sheet and a risk
assessment for using shaving foam for a purpose for which it was not
intended

LOL You might just be right about that ;-)

If they're that bad, I'd suggest a lawnmower or some Jeyes fluid.

No! You mis-understand me, they are growing sideways, not upwards :-)
