Andy brought next idea :
Is it possible to get spare parts for taps? What has happened is the shaft that the tap head is connected to has rounded. Its a tap with standard tap washers, not ceramic discs. Any ideas? The Plumb Centre sell tap repair kits designed to adapt to a variety of taps. Basically they are a complete replacement for the working parts plus knob of a tap, plus various adaptors. Take your existing tap internals along to see if one would fit. -- Regards, Harry (M1BYT) (L) http://www.ukradioamateur.co.uk |

Eg http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/...11577&ts=93988 I've used them with mixed success as sometime the reach of the new tap mechanism is incorrect for the old tap body. If it does not work, they are pretty good about refunds. Regards Bob |

The message
from "Andy" contains these words: Is it possible to get spare parts for taps? What has happened is the shaft that the tap head is connected to has rounded. Probably as easy to find someone who can build it up with braze and file it square again. -- Skipweasel Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. |

Thanks Andy. hi there, yes all spare parts regarding your mixer taps should be sold at your local plumbing shop. just bring the part you require and you shouldn t have any probs. this includes washers, spindles o rings etc. the cost is really minimal. |
