light, simple, and easy to fix. A run of decorator's caulk along the
joins and it looks a treat.

agreed. and if you load the coving up with enough adhesive you don't need to caulk.
alternatively, I have successfully applied coving with 'sticks like ****' type adhesive
with great results.
