Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone here knew of a source of spare parts for Dyson appliances?. I'm not talking spare brushes and filters here, I mean the internal parts - motors, switches, that retractable mains lead caddy that they have in the DC02?. Basically, I have a Dyson DC02 vacuum cleaner which has a broken mains lead caddy, that I would dearly like to replace. I've already had the cleaner a part and it's a piece of **** to replace the caddy, provided I can get a new one!. I don't particularly want to involve Dyson, especially if it's got to go away to be "fixed", as other wise the cleaner is in working order. TIA, Willard. |

Our local dump doesn't have any, and the one I have has functioned perfectly for over 2 years since I repaired it (it broke before I was given it by my friend's dad who broke it when cleaning his chimney). Any other Dyson that has 'broken down' has usually been down to the owner hoovering stuff up they shouldn't have, and blocking the tubes leading to the cyclone chamber (or even not emptying the 'bag'). As for buying Dyson parts from Dyson themselves, I've had no problem with them. A new motor cost me about £46 and a new 'lifetime' filter about £10, which was replaced at no extra cost with a HEPA one when they were out of stock of the ordinary ones. Big Andy |

You don't have to send it away, Dyson will flog you spares over the phone for delivery if you want. They do all the spares as well - not just what is shown on their web site. -- Cheers, John. /================================================== ===============\ | Internode Ltd - http://www.internode.co.uk | |-----------------------------------------------------------------| | John Rumm - john(at)internode(dot)co(dot)uk | \================================================= ================/ |
