Default Pressure fluctuation on Glow Worm Energysaver Combi 2

Boiler 4.5 years old. The pressure has started fluctuating from .5 when
cold to 2.5 when hot. There are no signs of leaks anywhere. Is this a
problem with the expansion vessel or possibly the pressure gauge?

Most likely the pressure vessel. Have you checked the air pressure on
the PV? No air would mean the pressure would rise as you describe.
