Wall 275mm think (2 leaf + 75 cavity). What width do the trench

Unless the soil is very poor the minimum width is probably determined by practical considerations, e.g. if you are digging the trenches by hand 400mm is probably the minimum, whilst with a JCB you might get away with 300mm.
