Router review
This month's Good Woodworking magazine has a buyer's guide and review
on routers. Since this question comes up quite often, I thought it worth posting a summary. They divided the routers into three groups - lightweight, mid-range and heavy duty. Each is scored out of 5. In the lightweight range: Trend T3 5 Bosch POF 600ACE 3 Hitachi ZK2008 4 In the mid-range: Makita RP1110C 4.5 Trend T5 4 Mafell LO50E 4 Metabo ofE1229 4 Heavy duty: Trend T11 5 Hitachi M12V 4 DeWalt DW625 4 CMT 1850 4 Bosch GOF2000CE 4 The DW625 and CMT1850 are essentially similar, based on the Elu MOF177E design. The new Trend is also, but scored higher because of the built in fine adjuster. -- ..andy To email, substitute .nospam with .gl |
