Rendering Garden Walls
Hi All
The walls bordering my front garden are falling apart - as are every one else's on my (1950's built) estate. Some sort of problem with the mortar I guess. It seems crumbly. I have to rebuild the top two or three courses and I figured I'd put a capping stone on to prevent further erosion. I've also considered rendering them - the pointing is shot to pieces anyway, so slapping a coat of render on would probably be easier and would look good. Would PVA be a good idea? And what mix sand/cement? Dave |
